If I was the first two-person orgasm she’d ever had, then I was guessing she’d never cum four times in an afternoon before.

Maybe she had, but somehow, I doubted it.

I leaned in to grab the waters and thought about how beautiful she was. Thankfully, she had been uninhibited about showing me her body. She’d had only one brief moment of hesitation all day. And then she was game for whatever. My cock jerked when I thought about our afternoon escapades. She was quite the little sexpot. To wake up with her going down on me was un-fucking-believable. She was so eager to please me. She was going to make some man extremely happy someday.

The smile on my face faltered. The thought of her doing these things with someone else really bothered me. I shook the thought from my head. Hypocrite. I grabbed our waters and, as I stood to turn and walk back to the bedroom, saw her.

She stood in the entryway wearing my discarded shirt, the sleeves rolled up, her dark hair was out of the pony tails and hung in waves loosely around her. She was breathtaking.

“Hi,” she smiled tentatively. “I think you’re right about food being a good idea too. What’re you in the mood for?” She reached for the water as I closed the fridge. I twisted off the top and passed her one, then opened my own and chugged. The cold water helped me refocus.

“Depends. You wanna order something or do you want to get dressed and go to dinner somewhere?” As much as I didn’t want to have her get dressed, I knew if I wanted to wait for sex it was the best option.

“Um, I’m good with either. What do you want?” She came closer and dragged her finger down my chest as she looked up with the bluest set of fuck me eyes I’d ever seen.

I grabbed her hand before it could descend any lower and pulled her soft body flush with mine. I couldn’t resist temptation and I leaned down and kissed her cold lips.

“As much as I want to take you back in that other room and ravish you, I think we should get dressed and go out. Remember this is about more than just sex. It’s good to build anticipation.”

“Ok,” she reached up and began unbuttoning my shirt. “I guess you’ll be needing this then.” It puddled on the floor around her feet and she stood before me completely naked once more. “Guess I’ll go get dressed.” She turned and I couldn’t help but notice her perky ass bounce as she walked out of the room.

She was more than a temptress, she was an enchantress, and if I didn’t know better I would almost swear she had cast a spell on me many, many years ago. I had my work cut out for me, she was going to be a handful. I chuckled as I picked up my shirt from the floor and shook it out. When I got back to her bedroom she was nowhere to be found. Then I heard water running from her bathroom and figured she must be getting ready. I retrieved the rest of my clothes from the floor and headed to her hallway bathroom to clean up and get dressed.

Once dressed, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I looked different somehow, my smile was different or something. I cocked my head trying to figure it out, then ran my hands through my hair again. I must be losing it. I pulled my phone from my pocket and called to make us a reservation. There was a restaurant I had been dying to try and it seemed like it would be the perfect place for the night.

“Thanks for calling Hillstone Restaurant, this is Jessica, how can I help you?” A woman’s happy voice came through the line.

“Hi Jessica, I know it’s late notice but I’d like to make a reservation for two for 9:00pm. Can you squeeze us in?”

“One moment, sir, let me check.” There was a pause on the line while I could hear nails tapping a keyboard and background music playing. “I could get you in at 9:15pm, if that would work.”

“Perfect. Can I order a bottle of Cristal in advance? I’d like it on the table when we arrive.”

“Absolutely, sir. What name would you like the reservation under?”

“Davenport.” I spelled it out for her and heard the keys clacking again as she entered it into the system.

“You’re all set, Mr. Davenport. See you at 9:15pm.”

I thanked her and disconnected the call. I made my way back to the kitchen and finished my water while I waited for Gemma.

She didn’t disappoint when she emerged a short while later in some skinny jeans and a sexy fitted top with stilettos. Her makeup was nighttime appropriate and her lips were bare, except for what might have been a clear sheen of chapstick.

“You look beautiful, as always.” I reached out and took her hand. I brought it to my lips and kissed the back, then kissed up her wrist and tugged her into me so I could make my way to her full lips. I kissed her briefly and pulled back. “I’ve noticed that you’re lips always taste like cherries or something fruity. It makes me want to devour you.”

“Being devoured sounds beyond appealing. We could stay in, ya know? We don’t have to go out,” she smiled up at me hopefully, as she pressed her breasts into my chest and suggestively tipped her pelvis up to meet my own.

“I already made our reservation, but I may end up having you for dessert later.” I smirked at her as I took her hand and led her out the door. “All set? You have everything you need?” I asked as we walked to the car.

“I do.” She smiled broadly and for some reason I felt like her answer was about more than the personal items she was carrying.

I opened her door, then jogged to my side of the car and hopped in. “Counting Stars” by One Republic had just started. Gemma sang along, everything that kills me makes me feel alive, and I thought about how every song I’d been hearing lately fit our situation so perfectly. As the song faded out I heard Gemma’s stomach grumble loudly.

“Guess there’s no denying I’m hungry,” she laughed. “So, where are we headed?”

“Hillstone Restaurant. It’s a steakhouse that one of my tenants was recently raving to me about. So, it should be good. Have you been there?” I glanced over, as I adjusted the volume on the radio.

“I haven’t, but I’ve heard good things. To be honest, I could eat fast food right now and it would probably taste gourmet to me. I didn’t realize just how hungry I was until we got in the car,” she shrugged as she looked out the window.

“Good thing it’s not a far drive then. I’ll get you fed asap.”

“Thanks for always lookin’ out for me,” she smiled.

“Anytime.” I replied. And I meant it. I’d always look out for her and her best interests. It was nice to feel needed.

Who was I kidding? It was nice to feel needed by Gemma.

We approached the hostess stand and I gave them my name. She grabbed the menus and led us straight back to our table. It was fairly secluded, tucked back to the side, away from the majority of the rest of the place, and in the center of the table was the Cristal I had ordered.

“Your server will be with you momentarily. Is there anything you need in the meantime?” The hostess asked with a smile.

“Nope, I think we’re all good,” Gemma smiled back, and with that she turned and walked away, leaving us to look over the menus. “Did your tenants give you any pointers on what was good?”

“Only that they come here all the time and everything the chef makes is amazing. I do recall them mentioning the slow-roasted pork though.”

“I’ll get that, it looks good. Wanna get something different and share?”

“Sure,” I looked over the menu. “Should we start with the rosemary focaccia?” The waitress appeared just as she nodded back, and I closed my menu.

I placed our order, requesting the filet, medium rare, as our other meal. I knew how much Gem loved red meat.

“Drink?” I offered lifting the bottle from the ice bucket.

“Yes, please. Is that Cristal again?” She looked surprised.

“Yes, it’s Cristal. I figured champagne was good for tonight since we’re celebrating.” I took her flute and began to pour.

“What are we celebrating?” She looked at me cautiously as I passed her drink back and began pouring my own.

  I paus
ed as I set the bottle back in the bucket and then lifted my glass to her.

“To our new partnership and to being open to learning new things. May things only get better from here on out.” I smiled as I tipped my flute towards hers.

“To being Mr. and Ms. Right Now.” She clinked her glass to mine and we both sipped.

I knew I put the whole Right Now thought into her head, but damnit, I didn’t want to think about our scenario in those terms. We were just two best friends helping each other out. What else were best friends for?

  Gemma

I had to keep reminding myself about the ‘right now’ thing so I didn’t allow myself to get caught up in the fantasy of being in love. Although, truth be told, I was pretty sure I could easily fall for Baz.

The food was phenomenal, as was the champagne, but the company was even better. Everything was so easy with us. The conversation flowed between us effortlessly. After everything that happened today I thought there might be some awkwardness, but there was none of that. And none of the strain that typically accompanied most of my dates. I guess that’s because we’ve known each other forever.

Baz told me about the property he was thinking about purchasing in Scottsdale.

“What’s stopping you? I’m sure after doing all the research, you have a pretty good idea of all the pros and cons. Are there more cons than pros?”

“Not that I can tell. I just have to crunch a few more numbers. If it looks as good at the end of that as it does now, I’ll call Ella and ask her to write up an offer for me.”

“Ella? Ella Alfieri?” He nodded. “I thought Ella mostly focused on residential real estate?” We’d met Ella and her fiancé, Ford, at another mutual friend’s wedding a few months back. We’d hit it off and now she was another new client who I had added to the books for engagement photos. They were a great couple.

“I had thought so too, but when we were playing hoops one day I was telling Ford about my business ventures and how I needed to replace Dale. He mentioned Ella was trying to cross over into commercial as well. He sang her praises regarding her negotiating skills. I told him to have her reach out to me and when she did, she sent me some really interesting options. We’ll see if she’s as good at getting me a steal as he claims. And if these numbers look as good on the final run through as I think they will, he might just be right about her and I might have my new go-to for real estate. Dale was always so good, but with him moving to Alaska I had to find someone else to take over. Ella might be the perfect fit. You know the saying, everything happens for a reason,” he shrugged as he lifted his glass to his mouth.

“Yeah, and I truly believe it does.” I nodded. “That would be awesome if she could help you. I really like her.”

“Enough about my work for now. This weekend has flown by and I’ll be dealing with work soon enough when the morning comes. What’s your week look like?”

“Well, for the next few days I plan on editing Katy and Aaron’s pictures. I have that appointment with Dr. Williams on Tuesday. Otherwise, not too much planned. I’m not sure how long those pictures will take me. Plus, after talking to Sonya, I really wanna sit down and seriously revisit branching out to include boudoir photos as an option for expansion. Figure out what extra equipment I’d have to buy, where’d I’d do the shoots, what I’d charge, basically the ins and outs of it all.” My mind wandered as I began to make a mental list of everything.

“Gem?” Bastian was looking at me expectantly. Shit, had he been talking to me?

“I’m so sorry! I guess speaking it out loud made my brain automatically start cataloguing. What were you saying?” I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as embarrassment flooded through me, I couldn’t believe I had tuned him out so quickly.

“No worries, I was just asking if you wanted dessert.” He smiled and pointed to the dessert cart that was a few tables away.

I ignored the cart, but instead kept looking at the handsome man with dimples sitting across the table from me. “I have a couple ideas for dessert. Did you have something in mind? Maybe an éclair with cream filling?”

He laughed out loud. “I meant something we could eat here. In the restaurant.” He gestured again to the dessert cart and I finally gave in and glanced over.

“Oh,” I pouted. “I think I’m good in that respect. Unless you wanted to share something?” As much as I wasn’t starving for more food, I could almost hear the crème brûlée calling my name from across the room.

“I know typically dessert is what you look forward to all throughout a meal. How about some crème brûlée? I know it’s your favorite. If you don’t want the whole thing I will gladly share it with you.” He smiled expectantly, already knowing how much I wanted the creamy dessert.

“It is my favorite… Ok, since you’ve twisted my arm, I guess one crème brûlée and two spoons.” I held up two fingers to emphasize the two spoons I had mentioned. My mouth was already watering just thinking about the crispy sweetness that coated the top.

I watched as he flagged down our waitress to order dessert. He was my best friend, my confidant, my protector. And now, my teacher and my soon to be lover. I still couldn’t believe that I had convinced him to be my Mr. Right Now; and what an amazing Mr. Right Now he is. Kissing him is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. The way his lips mold to mine. I watched his lips move as he spoke to the waitress. He has such a talented mouth, and when his kisses roamed my body I thought I was going to go delirious from the pleasure. And that’s not all, I thought glancing at his strong hands, they are absolutely magical and his fingers play me like an instrument. I could feel heat surge through my body and slam to a halt between my thighs.

“What’s going on in the pretty head of yours?” Baz was looking at me in amusement.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” I taunted. Then I leaned forward and dropped my voice to a whisper, “Honestly, I was thinking about how unbelievably talented your mouth and hands are. And how I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for me.”

  Baz

Her blatant honesty about what she had been thinking sent all my blood rushing south again. It wasn’t like she was intentionally trying to seduce me. She was just being Gemma. Adorable, sexy-as-hell, Gemma.

“I’m not sure you can handle any more tonight. We were supposed to be taking this slow so I could be thorough.” Who was speaking these words from my mouth? The teacher side wanted nothing more than to take her back home and have my way with her. The protective, best friend side forced me to hold back.

“You can be thorough,” she smirked as she licked her lips. “In fact, I’m certain you will be.”

Before I could respond, the waitress brought our dessert. “Crème brûlée and two spoons as requested. Do you need anything else?” She smiled as she glanced back and forth between us.

“No, thanks.” She didn’t need to know what I wanted. It had absolutely nothing to do with her or this restaurant.

Gemma grabbed her spoon and dug right in. It was so refreshing to be with someone that didn’t care about counting calories and wasn’t afraid to enjoy eating in front of me. Her soft sigh as she pulled the spoon from her mouth told me how right I was to order the dessert. Her spoon was already descending a second time before I even considered grabbing mine. I watched as she took in another spoonful and moaned.

“This is some of the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had. What’re you waiting for?” She paused after the second bite and pointed at me with her spoon. “If you don’t dig in soon, I’m going to eat it all by myself.”

“I was just enjoying the view. I like watching things slide in and out of your mouth.” I picked up my spoon and scooped some of the custard out of the dish. “You fascinate me.”

“You don’t have to pile on fake compliments during our month,” she cocked her head to the side and arched her brow at me. “I’m pretty much a sure thing, you know.”

This made me laugh. “I have no reason to
give you ‘fake compliments’,” I threw in some air quotes. “You truly do fascinate me. Truth be told, you always have. You’re an amazing woman Gem, and I am blessed to have you in my life. More than that, I am honored to be able to help you with your, ah, situation. It’s not like helping you is a hardship in anyway. Well, it might be a little hard, pun fully intended.” I chuckled and Gemma laughed with me.

“I’d say it was a lotta hard if you asked me, but what do I know, I’m just a novice.” She smirked as she licked her spoon again.

I took in my bite of the crème brûlée and reached for another scoop. “For someone who didn’t really want dessert, you sure are cleaning that dish out pretty well.”

“You know better than to put something like this in front of me and expect me to hold back. That’s right up there with putting a deprived woman in a position for earth shattering sex and expecting her to abstain.” Her analogy wasn’t lost on me.

“Uh huh. Sometimes too much too soon isn’t a smart move.” I scraped a little more out of the dish.

“And sometimes, it’s a very smart move. The sooner it happens, the sooner it can keep happening. Over and over and over again for the next four weeks.”

Our verbal foreplay was causing little electrical arcs to spark across the table between us. Fuck it, maybe she’s right, and going slow is overrated. But, I had wanted to do this for so long that I needed to make sure to do it right. Plus, to be fair it was her first time and first times should be special.

“I will take that under consideration, but as much merit as that statement has, it’s been 25 years, what’s a few more days in the grand scheme of things? Why rush it?”

“I just think when it feels this right, why wait? You’re the first person I have ever actually wanted this with.” Her voice dropped a few more octaves, “And I really, really want it.” She moaned out the words and bit her lip again. I felt her foot in my lap under the table nudging my now rapidly hardening length.
